Song Chang-eui started out on the musical stage, but he’s made the transition to the screen successfully. He’s currently acting in drama series Life Is Beautiful, where he is drawing a lot of attention for his portrayal of one-half of a gay couple.
For his next project, he’s returning to musicals with The Sorrows of Young Werther. The lead is double-cast with Park Gun-hyung (Kingdom of the Wind) and the musical opens on October 22.
Song Chang-eui has notably performed in the musicals Hedwig (playing the titular transgender rocker) and 200 Pound Beauty, which was adapted from the hit romantic-comedy film and whose stage version starred Bada in the lead role.
